Elizabeth Burtch

Liz Burtch joined EFM&A in March 2025 as a Commercial Account Manager, bringing with her a strong foundation in small business insurance and a passion for building meaningful client relationships. A graduate of Cazenovia College with an associate’s degree and a licensed Property & Casualty agent, Liz previously spent a year at Flanagan Mills Agency where she supported commercial clients with personalized insurance solutions.

Her favorite part of the job? Helping business owners understand what coverage they truly need—and what they don’t—so they can move forward with confidence. One standout success story involved assisting a client who had lapsed on payments and couldn’t reinstate her policy. Through careful conversations and finding a manageable payment plan, Liz helped the client regain coverage and peace of mind.

She’s a proud member of the Rochester Women’s Network and is known for her natural ability to make clients feel comfortable, her curiosity about the industry, and her plant-filled, photo-decorated workspace. Ask around and you’ll also hear she’s the office comedienne—though she’s not quite sure how that started!

Originally from Alexandria Bay and now living in Rochester, Liz is also known as “LaLa” to her three grandsons. When she’s not working, you’ll find her hiking, skiing, biking, or soaking up the sun on a beach or the dock of her beloved cottage on the St. Lawrence River. Annual trips to California to visit her son are another favorite tradition she treasures.
